Per Ankh Cultural Organisation is an independent, non-governmental cultural organisation founded and represented by Ahmed Elsaghier in 2026. Serving as the umbrella organisation for Over X Theatre Company, Per Ankh is dedicated to fostering artistic development, cultural exchange, and international collaboration across the Middle East and beyond.
The organisation works to connect artists, cultural practitioners, and creative institutions from different regions of the world, creating opportunities for dialogue, knowledge-sharing, and collaborative artistic practice. Through its diverse programmes, Per Ankh supports professional development, arts training, interdisciplinary exchange, and the presentation of high-quality artistic works that contribute to the growth of contemporary performing arts.
Per Ankh's vision is rooted in the belief that artistic collaboration can build meaningful cultural bridges, strengthen creative communities, and encourage the exchange of ideas across geographical and cultural boundaries. By facilitating partnerships and nurturing emerging and established artists alike, the organisation seeks to enrich the cultural landscape of the region while maintaining strong international connections.
Under the leadership of Ahmed Elsaghier, Per Ankh brings together artistic practice, cultural management, and international engagement. Ahmed has trained with internationally recognised artists and practitioners from the United States, United Kingdom, France, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Australia, Greece, the Netherlands, Tunisia, and Egypt. As a performer, he has participated in more than 18 theatre and performance productions across Egypt and the United Arab Emirates.
His international experience includes participation in Transcendent Renaissance, a site-specific performance by Romanian composer Calin Topa, presented at Mleiha Archaeological Centre as part of World Stage Design 2025. Today, Per Ankh continues to serve as a platform for artistic innovation, cultural mobility, and international cooperation, supporting artists and creative projects that contribute to a more connected and vibrant global arts community.
